i can say personally i dont think you sway anyone, specifically when you rant in paragraph form. maybe try being more concise, and also not trying to divert conversations.

stopping in to say "you're all wrong to even talk about this, you should instead talk about this paragraph im going to state for the 5th time today" isnt going to do anything.

The way it was explained in the court room is that the way the law was written there were two scenarios that both had to be met to technically be breaking the law. He was only in violation of one of the conditions so according to Wisconsin law he wasn’t violating any laws.

The judge said explicitly he does not believe he should be convicted of illegally holding a weapon. He also said he will explain the law the best he can and let the jury decide.

This charge ultimately comes down to a poorly written law that was put in place to protect children from breaking the law while they are hunting with their parents.
