Why do I ask you for physical demonstrable proof? Because it tends to be reliable form of validity. Much more than haresay or faulty logic which are weak arguments. If you have both strong logical argument, physical proof and a demonstration that can be observed, measured, felt and corroborated by multiple independent sources including myself then we call it real.
You seem very curious. Maybe you should try pinpoint why your mind doesn't think like ours does here. Instead of dismissing. Were your ancestors heavily religions like mine? If not you might not have inherited this in your actual DNA or your makeup. Or maybe there are certain life experiences you haven't had?
If you do want to access this other 'realm' of understanding there may be ways you can do it still though that don't involve going to church or reading scripture.
Through meditation, through a near death experience, through certain drugs, through alternative foods, practicing lucid dreaming, sensory deprivation, solitary confinement, sorcery/wizardry etc.
Tapping into these states of mind can open up your understanding of religion.
Some people can do this naturally or enjoy doing them but for others it's forced. Maybe forcing it upon you won't work idk...
You may be the type that prefers to appreciate things by external experiences rather than internal. Like holidays, climbing mountains, plane flights, telescopes etc.
You do seem curious as to how our minds think so I've given you some examples though. My life has involved all of those examples. Maybe this might help you understand how I grasp certain things that you may not when it comes to religious concepts. And if you want to dive into them yourself at least you know some avenues that might make you go 'ahhhhh now I get it'.
