Yea, the woman who failed to graduate high school got "reading glasses."
Why the fuck not? Precisely because she didn't read a single book between the age of 12 and 30 does it make sense that she wasn't wearing glasses, even if she might have already needed them back then.

i expect we get the 2016 primary all over again.
In 2016, we had 17 GOP candidates refusing to take a stand on key issues quickly and instead humming and hawing and trying to avoid answering them. Then you had Trump who would immediately take a huge stand on key issues with hesitation and keeping it real. The media tried to portray this behavior as Trump being crazy, but it actually made him look like a leader.
Can Desantis keep it real on hot button issues like Trump? I think that's impossible. While Desantis has done good things to get the nomination, I just see him hesitating to answer correctly, while Trump will not.
I don't think the 2024 primary, if it even is contested at all, will be fought over policy. It would be fought exclusively over whether a majority of the GOP base still values loyalty to Trump above everything else, or if a majority can get behind a Trump-clone who doesn't suffer from his most glaring weaknesses.
In 2016, there was huge division over the direction of the party; JEB! and Trump had almost diametrically opposed visions for what the GOP is supposed to be. In 2024, the party will be united on policy/direction and the disagreement is only about who would be the most effective standard bearer for it.
