consistent public compliments from the President to a Dictator that starves tortures and murders his people

His work with NK can be done without minding the balls of a ruthless dictator publicly and should be, even his enthusiasts should not excuse this behavior

Dunno why he keeps talking about North Korea... it hasn't been a nuclear threat for a few months now.

I wish he was as nice to brown children at the border, peaceful protesters in a free country, and a free press as he is to dictators on tv and twitter

One perspective is that Trump is still playing along to fit into NK’s media spin. The NK has a cult of personality around Jong Un so these tweets are less likely to be censored by the government.

On the other hand it would probably be much better if Trump could do what Reagan did and call them out as a corrupt communist dictatorship. He might get censored but he might win over the NK people too

the vast majority of north koreans doesnt have access to the internet at all, and an even smaller share of them has access to uncensored internet. and those who do typically are the nomenklatura who personally benefit from the current system.

if trump really wanted to win over the starving north koreans, he should drop care packets over NK.
