There's ONE witness report that states they heard the police announce, and it's the person I just linked who ended up changing their story from their initial statement to police that they did NOT hear the police announce.

So not only has the only witness to the cops announcing themselves, changed their story, the ballistic report that came out also doesn't match the account made by kentucky's AG.

They claim to have ruled out Hankison because the officers were using .40 caliber handguns, while Walker was using a 9mm, but turns out Harkinson was issued a 9mm handgun. The KSP report also said that “due to limited markings of comparative value,” the 9-mm bullet that hit and exited Mattingly was neither “identified nor eliminated as having been fired” from Walker’s gun.

The thing that really gets me is that she didn't die instantly, the dispatch logs show that she received no medical attention.
