I can't remember if you mentioned it before, but what is the second best method rather than this? Is it possible to have a cold wallet as a program on the computer?

Paying $80 might look expensive but its worth it in the long run. I dont wanna suggest any other type of wallet because the hardware wallets (ledger or trezor) are the most secure ones and if you ask me, those are the ones I recommend.

Just pay $80 and you will have your funds 100% safe. No need to worry about hacks, etc.

I just liquidated a part of my investment. I still have a good amount in cryptos, but the big increase of the last 3 days were crazy, couldnt resist, so had to sell part of my investment. Made $7k profit from what I liquidated. Beautiful month.

Had to do it. Maybe I will regret it in the following days, but I had to protect part of the profits, I feel like a big correction is coming, but it might not, who knows, what is sure is that I had to make profit, couldnt resist lol.

Lets see what happens in the following days.

If you want an actual cold wallet for long-term storage, just save your keys on a USB drive and throw it in the drawer. You can even save your bitcoins on a piece of paper if you want.

No. A wallet really just consists of 2 keys - a private and a public key. You could physically write these down on a piece of paper (or print a QR code for convenience) and put the paper in a safety deposit box or whatever. As long as you deleted all digital remnants of your digital wallet, your bitcoins are now completely impossible for anyone to hack.

It should store the keys in the AppData folder somewhere, so if you delete those they are gone. If you are really concerned, you could do secure deletes that zero-fill the space where the data used to be.
