I'd gladly become a 'vegan' once in vitro meat is economically viable

I was actually going to talk about that if sakuraba replied to my last post. Vegan meat might be a possibility. Although I've noticed that for people who go vegan for ethical reasons, after a while they lose all desire for animal products anyway.

They lose that desire because they usually die.

Carnivorism refers to the natural need for an animal to eat meat. Humans aren't even carnivores, they're omnivores, so, no, I was not talking about "ending arnivorism."

...you most certainly weren't talking about carnism . Next time just say " if people stop eating meat " .

Without carnivorism mankind would still be treebound .

Social isolation could mean death in a tribe, it's natural to conform to those around you, being a black sheep is how you get killed by cops.

I know. It's a normal human thing to do. It'd be like resenting people just because they're religious, which is ironically connected to the former.

Religion is about preservation, being saved, the best way to save yourself is through religion and the best way to save society is through religion.

Meat eating used to be a privilege for few, now it's become common to even the peasants, I understand your reactionary position but I reject it on principle.

I'm not really sure how my position is reactionary. Its proactive, taking advantage of resources that otherwise slowly rise into the atmosphere and disappear. This solution would appease environmentalists, however that's far from my aim. Methane reduces coal consumption and energy costs by extension. Plus enviromentalists love to crow on about the water that modern beef industry uses, so if we take the water consumption for the coal industry and eliminate it what are we left with? Sustained beef industry, with cheaper energy, with cheaper water, with less whiny environmentalists. Works all the way around.

It's a bit narcissistic to not worry about the life of your friends and family.

if it's family or close friends, don't you think you oughtta say something?

If you shame your family then you are doing it wrong and you dont understand the first thing about mental health and should not in anyway try to "help" anyone other than yourself.

You want us to go back to a time where the poor are eating rabbit food, begging for scraps, while your King eats chicken every night.
