you really should read up a bit on North Korea and im not being sarcastic or condescending, they'd never attack Seoul, as they value Korean blood in a pseudo religious way and still propagandize the reunification of Korea. there have been a few dozen international incidents with NK and they've all involved Japanese or Americans afaik.

I'm suggesting they wont. because if they do they are done for. they can literally level Seoul, and then allied forces storm the capital and kill all govt workers and soldiers even faster than we swept Iraq. they'd be entirely disarmed and Korea would be unified with the South in charge. they have zero chance to win, and they know it, but if they hold their weapons they can force a perpetual stalemate. which isn't their "last option", it's how the entire country was designed from its formation under Kim Il Sung. The hedgehog design comes directly from him.

while Putin's excuses for war are flimsy it's not apples to apples. Finland's democratically elected govt applied and was accepted to NATO. Ukraine's coup'd minority govt was moving towards an EU trade deal, and i doubt would have been allowed to join NATO in earnest, but would have been made a NATO basecamp.
