You're correct I meant left. Left and right are trends seen all around the world even though the party names are different.

Japan was genius if you ask me. Their conservative party is called the "Liberal Democratic Party"

Dude sounds good. His platform pretty much mirrors the libertarian party minus a few things like min wage.

I'm amazed he won on a platform of pretty much no social issues.

Japanese conservatives would probably be fairly liberal here. They are a society focused on the good of the group after all

Good of the group is enforced by the community not the state

What ideology is your friend?

He has no ideology. He believes taking any hardline stance in a world of uncertainty is largely arrogance. Socrates said “I’m the wisest man because I know that I know nothing.” He takes that to heart.

What are you talking about, Japanese society is one of the most conservative societies on earth. It's true they spend a lot on social programs but overall they tend to be save-oriented when it comes to personal economics.

Strongly against immigration, strong social hierarchies, sexuality is hidden, the leading party is against same-sex marriage. If the Japanese were ever a voting bloc in the US vast majority of them would be Republicans.

Quick question...
Where do you currently reside and have you ever been to another country? If so, which one(s) and for how long?

Trying to put myself moreso in this guy’s shoes.
He gets triggered easily, thinks everything is an argument, has an inflated ego (for no reason), and loves shitty talking points.

Most of those kinds of people have lived in a sheltered home with a well off family and have never stepped foot off of American soil to experience different cultures and ways of thinking.

Not saying I disagree with your criticisms but I believe he has said he came to America when he was younger from somewhere else

Yes but if you tried to take away their healthcare program you wouldnt be taken seriously. It doesnt really translate well because they are conservative, but not in the "personal freedom" style of conservatism that American Republicans offer.
