Imagine if Obama started a trade war, and had to bail out an industry that was hypothetically dominated by African Americans... i don't think Black Xistenz & Ghot would be saying "oh yeah, they deserve a bail out because we're just trying to end unfair trade global practices and they were unintended collateral damage"

Lmao. They would be slamming obama for initiating the tarrifs in the first place or they would be saying "obama's fault, they shouldn't get a bailout"

I do understand the irony that you and Beo are seeing in this, dont get me wrong. But imho it's simply a big difference whether someone needs the welfare state because he/she made bad decisions, or because he/she got fucked over by government decisions (which were made in the fight for a greater objective which, if attained, would be well worth some collateral damage/government handouts).

but all in all, I have to disagree. I would ask why Obama started the trade war, what his motivations and goals are - and if I deemed his trade war justified, I'd be fine with bail outs for those affected the most.

Honestly, I dont really know because it's such an outlandish scenario. I would consider the pros and cons of his trade war, but who knows. Maybe I'd be biased in assessing it.

so you thought about trump's 'easy to win' tradewar and came to the conclusion it's justified?
does that mean you also don't understand what a trade deficit means and think the EU and canada for example were unreasonably taking advantage of america, so imposing wide ranging tariffs against them was a policy decision worth supporting?

I wouldn't be mad at all. Would be entertaining to see conservatives live in fear like a lot of minorities in the U.S. are now.
