I think he isn't being fully honest and I have concerns about him after this but he was in an impossible situation to win

I think Kavanaugh's attitude is throwing them off... he's willing to interrupt them and destroy their misleading talking points.

Also, if Kavanaugh gets confirmed, he can thank Lindsey Graham. He was the first to use his time, because this is politics, not some court hearing or investigation of the truth.

Yep, I think Graham stepping up for Kavanaugh was the turning point. Until that point, I was under the impression that things were going rather badly for Kav/the GOP.

he flipped the script and accused the democrat of victimizing a woman, and then he tried to lead into a question implying he can't remember details while blacking out drunk by citing a quote- and Kavanaugh interrupted him and recounted numerous details of the night before he even got to his question. So the dumbass was stuck there trying to imply Kavanaugh can't remember the night he just described in great detail.

But at least in the second case, it might not have been a strategy, just good fortune from a combative attitude
