"warehouse worker", aka someone i'll replace in 10 years. im sure that guy's been there long enough to remember steel shelving, hand coders, and fork lifts doing all the work. Now he works in a factory with automated coding, automated sorting, roller and belt conveyors replaced most of the fork lifting, and labeller machines do all the inbetween work automatically for shipping. He likely went from skilled manual labor to unskilled machine watcher, now expects a raise. Amazon should give a raise, these people will be gone in a decade or less. likely far less tbh. we're getting to the point with photo-eyes, safety sensors, VFDs, etc that even a button pusher can see the writing on the wall.
agreed my friend, but until you replace the jobs they will still have them, and getting a net decrease cuz of a company wide comrade-influenced policy will not sit well
cuz bezos still needs that stock price to go up which means certain numbers still have to hit sooo we get this
