Not really. There's a difference in how you approach that though.
For example, keeping a close eye on and even closing mosques that advocate radical behaviour is a very different line from prohibiting all mosques, forbidding any kind of Islamic religious expression, etc. I don't know any left-wing people who are in favour of allowing Shariah law or radical mosques to be open.
There's nuance that you might be missing. After all, freedom of religious expression is very much a constitutional right. If you take that away, things can get scary very quickly.
