Oh, the "Manafort/Cohen giving in to the FBI"-story is absolutely relevant. I just dont think that Avenatti's opinion on this storyline is particularly relevant.

It's not really his opinion, it's his course of action he wants to take (deposing Trump), i'm skeptical, but he means business.

Trump is absolutely great at campaign rallies. That's his natural element...a man of the people.

The problem is equating that stump speech ability with being a good president. Good at campaigning, bad at governing.

He's above average as far as the job goes. Might be the most conservative president ever. Haven't been that many though so it isn't a hard contest.

The reason I think the Supreme Court might be interested is that they have a history of being interested in mistrial cases like this, when concerned with double jeopardy.

Obama was probably the best campaigner of at least the last 50 years, better even than Trump, plus he actually had his administration under control and ran a very "clean operation" - and he still got very little done, mostly deepened the divisions in the country and ran up the debt.

Trump really sucks at governing in the sense of "operating the white house and his cabinet" - but he seems to get a lot more done than Obama when it comes to policy.


edit: Obama's presidency was all "unproductive with great optics", while Trump's is "decently productive with really ugly optics".

Seriously, Obama really tried, but an american president powers are limited especially if he doesnt own the legislative branch... Lobbies and even Israel were against him.

Yeah bullshit.

Obama had to deal with Republicans who literally admitted they would obstruct anything he did because it has his name on it after his first two years.

At this point in his presidency Obama had passed Obamacare, which is a far larger point to "get a lot more done when it comes to policy" than everything Trump has done so far put together.
