The opposite actually. The voter id laws that republicans passed also shut down polling places in minority communities and selectively restricted ID usage to ones minorities are less likely to use, which is Why they have been struck down in courts all over the country. Theyre about suppression, not an honest attempt to secure the election

Democrats support voter ID if it’s free and easy to get. Republicans always reject that every time it’s brought up.

Carlson's a pundit, not a journalist. His is a commentary show with a clear and stated bias, that of Tucker's own viewpoints. The only "news" ever shown on Tucker is cut-aways to actual news clips, or breaking reports (such as speeches from candidates, etc.).

They're mostly unique in their reporting due to using local fox stations (actual on the ground reporting) which preexist "Fox News" as an aggregate, rather than the AP or Reuters.

I've met a tremendous amount of people who take Carlson seriously in my personal life. Many people indeed get their news from prime-time commentary members.

I don't understand it personally, but it happens.

It does the voter no good to require ID and simultaneously not address the gaping issue of actually acquiring an ID. Requiring an ID disenfranchises a large percentage of poor people and that's not good for our country. I'm all for requiring ID to vote. If that's the case though I think the states should start bearing the cost of these ID's.

Edit: Living in Missouri I also know a good amount of people that equate Tucker Carlsons views to fact. They're usually low education and poor but they're here and they vote.
