Not to mention, this particular tangent about Covid was about government policy and the difference between presidents. And when Donald Trump launched operation Warp Speed and Joe Biden campaigned on an explicit promise he would not mandate vaccines, there's really not much distinction to be made. As I said earlier in the reply chain, unless we're talking about crazy hypotheticals in either direction like welding people's doors shut to lock them into their apartments and starve, or holding intentional superspreader events to burn out the bug before it can mutate- then American policy choices and which state did which and which administration did which, didn't have much impact at all. New York did severe lockdowns and mandates and still got hit by multiple waves. Red states and blue states had variances and they were all pretty much outcomes untethered from policies.

Which ties back to the original point being made: The death toll was inevitable, the economic toll was not. Joe Biden would almost certainly have a huge number more dead than Trump, no matter what choices either of them made.

because all the apocalyptic tales and predictions never even remotely became a reality, the anti lockdown people were right, pfizer cheated with the possibly serious side effects, which start to pile up with people coming forward more and more (the recent report for the stock market authorities was really damning as well),

things like the J&J or astrazeneca vax are completely dead and entire countries banned that trash + they advise especially young men against getting the mRNA jabs

the fender covid karens were hoping to ruin the lives of the unvaxxed, shame them, oust them from society and elevate themselves to feel better about their pathetic existence

meanwhile in reality everyone, who could do without nightclubs etc for a while and just met in private was just cruising along and with the "recovered" status after an infection still had access to everything

A death toll was inevitable. THAT specific one wasn't. it would be significantly (probably tens of thousands) lower without trump's constant undermining of health experts, leading to significant vaccine hesitancy and rejection of basic measures to stop the spread of early deadly variants, intended to protect the vulnerable and the healthcare system. just because it's difficult to quantify it exactly, does not mean you can ignore this obvious, common sense conclusion.
