Anyway, I am simply not sold on how bad the covid situation is. If there truly had been as many deaths as the media would have us believe, morgues would be full of corpses. But that doesn't seem to be happening. I have also heard of the government padding of covid numbers (don't ask me for a source though). Anyway, it doesn't matter. It seems pointless to me to argue whether covid is much worse than the flu or is only slightly worse.

Covid was bad enough that without significant mitigation efforts, even if we took the absolute best case scenario and gave every possible unrealistic assumption to the robustness of our healthcare system, we would have still been royally fucked.
