What you are saying is that I am spouting information because I believe in something? This isn't a belief, this is real life. People ARE in trouble, our hospitals ARE in trouble. There is no "wishy washy" belief about it.

It amazes me how people like this aren't willing to include age or BMI in their big brain number crunching.

They are adding astronomical costs to the health-care system.

ICU beds are a capacity issue. Canada is going to need more beds, they're going to have to invest for the long-haul.

Mandates aren't effective. The disinformation required to push them (i.e. that young people without preexisting conditions "need" to get vaccinated for their own health and safety) are far more damaging to the long-term credibility of public health than the lack of mandates will ever be.

Take Fauci's decision to lie, in his own words, about what he assumed were the efficacy of masks. He concluded they were helpful, but told Americans they weren't so that there wouldn't be a run on masks. That might have served a temporary goal, but it sacrificed the long-term credibility of American public health. People now need to question whether the government is telling them the truth, because the government itself has admitted to lying when it's politically convenient.

And masks protecting from bad luck too !
