It matters to what extent the voice is being silenced.
The gay couple had no issue procuring a wedding cake, and chose the baker specifically because they thought they might be refused. There was zero inconvenience caused. They wanted to force him out of business because they just honest to God didn't like his viewpoints and wanted to fuck him in the figurative ass.
Twitter is banning people who have no recourse and no other way of making their viewpoints heard. Because of a (near) monopoly on electronic discourse, it is impossible to have a conversation that does not flow through one tool or another. We're often better off that some crazies don't have a platform, but it's obviously a more serious complaint than gays wanting a specific Christian baker to make their wedding cake.
