Lmao. UK is Belgium tier per capita contribution.

In my opinion we can let the UK drift off towards their Western friends.

that graph seems to show a really sustainable economy there!

sure, your selfishness might lead to the whole EU collapsing... not too likely but possible for sure.

be that as it may, the status quo was unacceptable. again, the UK is the 2nd strongest european economy right now and should really have taken a leading role alongside germany and france. instead you guys constantly chose to make it about yourselves only, demanded special deals and treatment whenever possible, tried to leverage your status as donor country whenever you could, vetoed important deals while constantly threatening to leave and made negotiations that really asked for a united leadership a pain in the ass.

the EU is (or was as of today) the biggest economy in the world and all its members profit(ed) massively from that as a negotiating position in international trade deals - and equally important by free access to this huge market.

if you really believe you're better off not paying your contributions to the EU (which were too low anyway) based on the rhetoric of some professional liars who are in it for their own personal benefit (you might wanna read up on what boris said about the EU just 2 years ago - what do you think is his next goal? here's a hint: downing street 10), sure... believe what you want. reality will kick in soon enough...

A lot of the people that vote leave have some fantasy about how strong Britain is, this isn't the British empire anymore. Old white ppl voting leave in huge proportions but the 16 and 17 year olds can't vote over their future.

- OMG FREE MOVEMENT
- OMG OUR NSA
- OMG OUR MONEY

Next up: UK leaves the EU, their NSA needs to replace all those immigrant employees who can no longer stay, and British economy goes to shit.

"Oops, didn't expect that."

They're more informed than my grandma and her friends all in their 80s voting leave. It's not their future, it's ours. 75% of 18-25 year olds voted remain but only 39% of 65+. They play cards twice a week and talk about what the postman was wearing this morning, they have no connection to reality in their bubble

Doesn't matter what alliance, union or federation you're talking about, some states are going to be takers and others givers.
