Why? People aren't God/Gods

If god's creation isnt perfect, he isnt perfect.

That makes no sense.

God could not be imperfect. Imperfection implies lacking something - and God cannot lack anything. If God lacked something, He would not be God.

Why could he not be imperfect? Because the book says so?

If you create something and it doesnt work as intended, you fucked up. Its not rocket science.

Why did he create things? Why did he create life? Was he lonely, did he have unfulfilled desires? Doesn't sound perfect to me.

I guess for that matter, what is perfection, if God is perfect, did he set the standard for perfection?

Because the idea of God doesn't make sense if He could be imperfect.

Because He loves us. It's true, God has no need for us. He loved us into existence.

Maybe think about your parents? Their love brought you into existence.

Is love not created via some desire for connection with another though? I don't think you can be perfect while having desire.

The whole thing I think is philosophical, and fairly moot.

But again, what perfection is, and who set the standard for what perfection is, really that determines what is perfection.

You would have to say god is not necessarily perfect, but has perfect reasoning for the decisions that god makes which results in perfect decision making.

Anyway, I wont devolve this into a debate I think has been done here a million times. To each their own for their beliefs.

You're describing anthropomorphism.

I don't think a coherent, believable concept of God could include a flawed God.

I didn't even hear about this guy being a candidate.

It's incredible, considering how Pope Francis was kind of anti-American.
