It really doesn't, though. Omarosa was a bad hire from the start, and now she's turned into a PR disaster.
I'm pressing Trump supporters on this issue because it's very clearly a decision Trump fucked up big time on, even without the benefit of hindsight bias.
They should just take the L and move on, but instead they insist on defending/devil's advocating for every decision the President makes.
Y'all do know you don't have to defend everything Trump does, right? Nothing bad will happen to you if hold him accountable for a bad decision every once in a while.
Piece of advice: Shill on topics with more gray area like taxes or immigration, but just take the L or dodge on topics like Omarosa. Defending it just makes you look like a shill.
you're using too much hindsight to call it a disaster. bad hire? sure.
Omarosa isn't an idiot, she's a drama queen with far too much of a desire for the limelight. But she's also a big mouth, good strategist (we're seeing that play out), and black. she was hired as a fairly low level staffer, not made chief of staff or a secretary. I don't think anyone could have predicted she'd go mole on the whitehouse, that's why it's so fun to read about, its shockingly ballsy.
I think that Trump keeps people like her around because they're expendable, the fact she's a minority is the icing on the cake.
people forget that his white house from it's onset with Bannon has been a Art of War strategy, where confusion and diversion is used regularly. they're fairly transparent about it, Trump has been diverting from important stories with reality tv drama forever in the WH. Omarosa is goon in a situation like that. We cant devalue her to literally nothing, she's not an idiot, even if she is a backstabbing money grubber.
