rohrabacher is not from the uninhabitated areas of california, he's an orance county republican. nunes... I dont know, why the fuck do the voters in his district reelect that guy?

in any case, you cant expect a state with 55 districts to send no republicans at all to the house - with "no actual power", I meant on the state level.

the same reason Russ Feingold got elected for so long. When you have a name people know and they dont have much of an opinion they check your name. Political teams are obsessed with name recognition polls on stuff like primaries and state elections. the name wins more often than not unless they're a known name like Roy Moore for harassing teenagers.
