It's not about race. It's about art. You shouldn't change art. If you want to "create" some new art, go for it. But changing someone else's art just for racial reasons...is lame.

Changing the art of the past is how new culture comes into existence. Keep the old, copy it, and change it to fit the current society. As long as you reasonably preserve the original it doesn't matter how you change it.

Wrong. Take the Ciri thing. Just swapping races doesn't get it. Black Ciri would have different experiences as a white Ciri would. It's the same reason you can't cast Ryan Gosling as MLK.
