You promised you would eat your hat if romney lost

You dont have to do it now, but your powers of prediction are less than desired.

Good point... the polls could be wrong, but in Biden's favor.

I just think its hilarious that since 2000 democrats have talked about georgia when ron paul was the favorite there of all people. Its really a pipe dream.

Similar to 2016 corporate America and the ultra wealthy supporting the Democratic candidate. Nope no reason to believe that there'd be bias in the wealth of internet platforms and how they cover news & events.

Joining Amazon, Alphabet’s Google and Microsoft are among the top five contributors to Joe Biden’s candidate campaign committee in the 2020 cycle, according to data from OpenSecrets, a website which tracks money in politics and campaign finance records

party of the average American indeed. spending $100M of bloomberg’s money in one state alone and fully in bed with the richest corporations in history

it seems the harris/biden campaign is fully committed to not answering policy questions which may cause Americans to actually think that their plans are not good for the country. Tapper tried to ask Kamala about packing the courts because her running mate said im not gonna answer that and she declined to as well.

TAPPER: I will respectfully note that you also declined to answer that question with me. Senator Kamala Harris, I appreciate your time this evening. Thank you so much.

HARRIS: Good to be with you, Jake. Thanks for the question.

Tapper then turned in frustration to Abby Phillip on the set, who pointed out the avoidance strategy:

TAPPER: All right, yes. So, I don’t really understand Abby why they won’t answer that question. I guess they just feel like — it’s — well, yes, I guess —

PHILLIP: I understand (inaudible).

(CROSSTALK) TAPPER: I understand, why don’t you explain for the American people?

PHILLIP: They won’t that answer that question because this is sort of like the Medicare for all of the general election. Which is that there is an idea that is being talked about on the left of their party and they want to stay in the middle. That is why they won’t answer the question.

I mean if pard is a microcosm of the larger US, then it's on display everyday that most care more about optics than policy. Why should Biden commit to anything? People don't stay in power for 47 years by doing that. He can just give canned speeches & platitudes that sound good and are politically correct and people buy it.

Dodging one singular issue because your answer is going to hurt you politically either way you go is smart strategically. It's perfectly reasonable to criticize him for not answering the question... but pretending it means he hasn't put forth a bunch of policy positions is dishonest.

This reminds me of the arguments over what Democrats were talking about in 2018. The issue was healthcare... you thought it was all about Trump. If Biden wins this election, it'll be because he won the argument on policy.

He dodged on packing the court.
He dodged on calling out far left violence/rioting
He dodged on whether he agrees with far left things like the green new deal by basically saying what i'm proposing is nothing like that but just looks and sounds exactly like it
He dodged a bunch of questions about his sons ethics and how the fuck in the world a guy that has no business making millions with no background in those industries ends up on boards of companies in places like China, Russia, Ukraine.
Big one, is what is he going to do when elected president with Covid? Keep parts of the econ largely closed until vaccine or? Like Trump is clear on wanting to open, with Biden I have no idea

These are just a few things off the top of my head. He has some answers but some of the things i'v mentioned are pretty significant issues to America today. You can't just deflect with orange man bad. Personally I feel like Americans deserve to have answers here, that's kind of the point of the debates no?

The only issue he explicitly dodged was packing the court. The others he provided answers, maybe not ones you were satisfied with.

Anyway, speaking of optics:

A pretty damning report on Trump focusing on optics over policy. This example actually made a difference in the lives of Americans.

I think you guys mistake the L looking for facts or a policy to defeat trump.
Nobody cares what they do to get him out. To a majority of L people he is a threat to our democratic process' and whatever it takes, is fine.'
Based on his undying support no matter his actions I would agree.
Could you imagine a head football coach with this much division between two sides of his team?
Every fan would be asking for removal. But as usual he isn't even help to a managing people success or failure discussion. (maybe his feet are being held to the fire over the virus a little bit) that's it.

if Biden was as much personal attack as trump is he could of asked things of this nature.
Why is Ivanka part of your tax consulting.
How does your family while working in the white house get things like patents held by Chines govt'
Why is you personal family part of your white house staff?
Why do you state actual "love letters" from N. Korea.
Why do you funnel tax dollars for SS and other political meetings through your personal places of business?
Why have you made excuses for your oil buddies UAE, (which you debt to) a free pass on the cutting to small pieces a reporter.
ok.. i give the list is too long.
You get the picture
