The comparison to MI6 and CIA is relevant because they develop sources in Russia to work against Russian interests. Christopher Steele(ex-MI6) using Russian sources to find out that Trump is compromised works against Russian interests... because a compromised man in the White House is the best they could ever hope for.

The Trump campaign conspiring with the Russian government to sway an election is something entirely different... it coincides with Russian interests. It's also definitely illegal.

I don't work in politics and I'm not that old... I don't know what's normal. I think Trump is a unique case... and researching his ties in foreign countries, particularly countries that are major adversaries to the United States, seems like an appropriate endeavor. I don't think Orbis does a lot of political work, but I could be wrong.

The most mainstream cable media outlet in the country is far right wing (Fox). Most local news is also right wing (Sinclair). And outlets like CNN are center-right controlled opposition. There is no mainstream left media in the United States, period.

Steele gave the information to the FBI, and also multiple news agencies, so technically he wasn't even colluding because it wasn't secretive. Lol. He was sounding the alarm while Don Jr. was meeting with Russians to secretly get dirt on Clinton.

I just love how it's OK for Donnie or the RNC to secretly collude with Russia, to get dirt on Clinton and undermine a U.S. election, but if Clinton talks with UK intelligence in an open forum to get dirt on Donnie... it's not OK.
