The Clinton campaign paid a law firm, who then paid Fusion GPS, who then paid Chris Steele, a highly experienced MI6 agent, who then used his sources in Russia to get information on Trump. Steele's sources and subsources put their lives at risk to provide information to him. If some of Steele's claims are true, he's truly a hero for bringing the information to the FBI.

There's really no reason to believe Hillary even knew about it... it was a longshot effort from a campaign that had plenty of money to burn. None of the information collected was ever used during the campaign.

On the other side, you have Don Jr. taking a meeting to get dirt from Russians as (explicitly stated in the email) part of the Russian government's ongoing effort to help his father. That's attempting to work with one of America's greatest adversaries to sway an election. I have a hard time believing they didn't work together at some level.

Not the same thing at all, not even close.

isn't it true that Steele had no idea where the information he was collecting was going to? (other than Fusion GPS of course), he had no knowledge of his information going to the law firm that Hillary paid? right?

It's not like Hillary was colluding with the Russians like Ghot or the President tries to imply.
