What did Obama do for the economy?

He blocked oil pipelines, over regulated industry, bailed out big banks. A society works by rewarding good people and punishing bad ones. Obama literally did the opposite and shirt circuited society.

The DOW was lower than normal after a recession? That's a profound and insightful observation.

Tariffs are a tool in the toolbox. They haven't been terrible for the United States, and confronting China on its trade practices was necessary.

And come on, Obama's foreign policy was a complete flop, from the withdrawal that gave ISIS room to breathe to the "red line" that Assad wasn't allowed to cross until he did. It's fine to celebrate Obama if you like the ideological direction he took his party and the country, but let's not celebrates his mistakes as accomplishments.

Whether your agree with every step or not Obama did 90% of the work to destroy ISIS and left Trump with the remaining 10% already planned and spelled out. So even if we accept that he gave ISIS "room to breathe" it's not that consequential to the larger picture since his administration was also the one that effectively destroyed them, even if Trump got to make the very last swing.
