^^ "strong ties to politics". Nahh. We dont have such a money/power lobby. Politicians from left and right join together to form a government, life here is not that black and white.
As for funds, they are not as massive as in the past, the reforms we have had makes it fairly efficient for what they produce.
And that is a very valuable type of research journalism that is not seen in a pure free market broadcasting networks... I'd fight to keep it alive as it is. ^^
