the Trump administration wouldnt be facing lawsuits every 2 weeks if they followed the process laid out by the founding fathers for making laws and running a govt. sent bills to congress, stamp them into law after a vote is passed.
they're taking the full force of these lawsuits because they're working around the legislature with executive orders. i dont have sympathy for those that pervert american democracy, and executive orders are out of fucking control. not just the number per term massively increasing over the past several decades but also their scope. military, education, healthcare, finance, etc. its out of fucking control. i frankly hope trump gets sued 4x more than he is now just so this EO business can be shown as a failed model to run a presidency.
EO increases are consistent with Washington being dysfunctional. Things were different even 20 years ago when the parties could put aside the differences and work at least some things out. It's a function of the times.
If congress can't pass immigration law for 10 years now even though many Americans want something done, is it less democratic or representative of their will if the president does something about it?
