Guys the Knox county mayoral race results are in
There have now been three elected officials in America who have taken a stone-cold stunner

First meeting of the board of executives of Knox County, famous for its corruption and its crooked officials.

Lights go out, pyro goes off, "slow chemical" starts playing. Demon Kane walks into the room. Bricks are shit. Corruption ended immediately.

Hey guys, steer clear of our largest donor and single most important entity in setting Republican policy agendas.

Should definitely work out well for the ones pushing it.

Exactly lol, i'm honestly a little surprised. This is just more confirmation that the republican party is the party of trump and RNC is all aboard the Trump Train. They are willing to commit political suicide for Trump.

Republican Party chairwoman slams megadonor Koch network over trade criticism

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The head of the Republican National Committee criticized the conservative Koch network of donors on Thursday for threatening to back Democrats, escalating tensions between the party and its core business backers before November’s congressional elections.

Quote
Ronna McDaniel, the Republican National Committee chair, warned Republican candidates and supporters in a memo not to trust resources the Koch network makes available to help win elections.

“Some groups who claim to support conservatives forgo their commitment when they decide their business interests are more important than those of the country or Party,” she wrote in the memo, a copy of which was viewed by Reuters. “This is unacceptable.”

On Tuesday, Trump slammed the Koch-led political operation as “globalist” and “a total joke.”

On Thursday, he again maligned the donors, saying they were more interested in helping foreign workers than the United States.

A spokesman for the Koch network disputed that assertion.

“We have a long-term commitment to unite around issues that will help people improve their lives,” James Davis said in a statement. “Just as we have in the past, we will work together with the president, elected officials and others where we agree. And, where we disagree, we will do so in a civil way.”

Seems likke team Trump is defending their tariff methods, and warning those running for office that their normally present donors may pull out at the last second, if they even back the Republicans?

might also be a ruse to rile up the base before the midterms. the kochs are certainly well aware of their horrendous reputation...

I consider it a lot more likely that there are real tensions between trump/tariff-supporting republicans and the kochs. but I wouldnt rule it out completely that this is just for show, so that trump and the GOP can point out that they are fighting on behalf of the american people against the evil globalist megadonors.

hmmm I dont think this would make sense. By making the dispute public, they have created a situation where Trump cannot back down and subdue himself to the Koch agenda without causing huge harm to his political brand.

Right, my point is there actually are Republicans (like Conaway in Texas) who are pro-tariff. But there are a lot who are against as well, it's a wierd political power struggle right now in the GOP, especially since Paul Ryan is leaving soon.

Though on second thought, looks like Conaway is taking campaign donations from Trump, so of course he's pro-tariff 😂😂
