The amounts metabolized pointed to him doing the other drugs much earlier or the previous day. Its likely that he was speed balling the previous night, then took some fentanyl percocets that morning, then downed the rest of the bag immediately prior to dying.
The autopsy made the case so clearcut once it was out. A massive lethal dose of unmetabolized fentanyl, far above the lethal dose, along with large amounts of metabolized fentanyl and other drugs. There's no way in hell a guy with 90% block coronal arteries, 3:1 LVH and 2x normal heart size could have survived enough fentanyl to kill an elephant in the hours prior to his death and just have it all partially metabolized by that point. So the only explanation is he had some previously, then some immediately prior to his death. And there's no way he'd survive the amount in his system then. So he was clearly going to die from the fentanyl. So at that point, the only argument the prosecution could make (they didn't, nor did they have to) is that he was somehow killed by being choked out before the fentanyl could kill him. A sort of inverse of the famous 'frozen hobo' thought experiment, arguing he'd already taken fatal poison but died from the knee. Except there's zero evidence for that whatsoever, because there's no physical trauma of any kind from the knee, nor did floyd even exhibit any new responses while held that he wasn't already exhibiting before he was restrained.
If Chauvin was found innocent, there would be another riot and dozens of people could have died.
Making the guilty verdict the choice that leads to the least amount of deaths and damage.
So its entirely possible that the weak police are responsible for this miscarriage of justice.
Why don't we use water cannons anymore?
