Trump is calling for Sessions to end the Special Counsel investigation again. Sessions is screwed. He either has to un-recuse himself or piss off the President, who views Sessions as his personal lawyer.

Also, why is Trump defending Manafort so much again? Doesn't he realize that the legal jeopardy Manafort is facing is mostly unrelated to the Russia investigation? It's a pretty dumb political move to be defending Manafort like this.

He shouldn't even talk about him, lest he wants people to conflate Manafort's legal woes with the Russia collusion story moreso than probably exists in reality.

Manafort probably has dirt on Trump that he doesn't want revealed for a lighter sentence.
