there's a difference between unconditional handouts, and handouts that only serve to ease the collateral damage caused by a long-term political paragidm shift.

the whole christian values stuff wasnt meant too seriously by many republicans anyway; and I assume that only a very small minority of the GOP-leaning PaRDians belong to the religious right. the fact that the religious right is sticking with trump is without a doubt hypocrisy, but it's also understandable - in the current political and social climate, Trump is the only thing standing between evangelicals and total defeat on each and every policy front.

trump is acting strong on the world stage with the exception of that one putin summit which went wrong. he brought NK to the negotiating table, he acted to at least try to enforce red lines in syria, he is forging and renewing alliances in the middle east, he is taking action against china's predatory economic behavior, he is calling out the UN for a lot of its bullshit, he is equipping the ukraine with modern weapons to defend themselves against russian aggression, he is issuing wake-up calls to the complacent NATO allies.


we'll talk about treason if and when Mueller provides proof in this direction. which translates to: never.
