So the prosecution can go balls to the wall Homicide this and homicide this, then when its not going well for them they can add lesser charges to try and stick those also?
That's kinda fucked.

He should be charged with assault for the people he shot, he did not kill a human being so murder is out.

Derek Chauvin got not only convicted, but the judge ignored all sentencing guidelines and precedent with presumptive downward departure and gave him one of the 0.01% of Minnesota felonies with upward departure.
There's no shortage of people in this thread who think Kyle is clearly innocent, but how many of you recognize that he'll probably be convicted, anyway?

Pretty unlikely he gets convicted IMO.

Chauvin was clear cut homocide, the only thing actually up in the air was what degree he would get. This one isn't so clear cut.

Always expected he'd walk out with a conviction of some sort. My suspicion before was the minor in possession charge.

Now I think there's a couple possibilities. If the Prosecution effectively uses their 2.5 hour closing to argue provocation, it's entirely possible the self defense case could fall apart, and Kyle could go off on murder charges.

If the defense case doesn't fall apart, but provocation is bought, then one of the lesser charges that were added.

Today didn't go well for Kyle.

Pretty bad day for the defence but I am not overly worried. Even in the very unlikely it isnt a hung jury at worst, there are still grounds for the judge to dismiss as a matter of law, for the decision to be appealed on the basis of prosecutor misconduct or a few other reasons.

Shirafisi seems to be the only good lawyer in there. Judge is a mixed bag.

richards should never have spoken, he's more of a prep and courtroom pointer lawyer.

I agree, the lack of objections is crazy as is the amount of things that were let into the record with no foundation is puzzling. Calling Kyle to the stand, although it turned out like 95 on a scale of 1-100, was a 0 move to begin with, that was a miracle.

The prosecutor is just as bad to be honest, a little better with the narration which makes sense when that is literally all you have, also corrupt but the state never gets punished for being crooked.

That's not how it works.

Is there a place I can sign up to do a protest in case Kyle is convicted of anything? Do we have the names and addresses of the jurors to complain once they reach a verdict?
