isn't it strange? whenever some 'responsible gun owner' mows down dozens of children, we hear from the right: 'don't politicise this! have some respect for the victims!'

but when a brown person (whose immigration status is unconfirmed as of yet, and who worked for a prominent GOP member for years) kills someone, it's totally ok to exploit that politically - even when the family opposes that kind of propaganda. ( https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/08/22/stop-being-snake-distant-cousin-mollie-tibbetts-tells-partisans-not-politicize-her-death/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.6b1d5c59abaf )

right wing hypocrisy at its best.

the ususal disclaimer because the cult regularly struggles with that: his crime is absolutely disgusting, ofc he needs to face punishment for that, and ofc i have no sympathy at all for a murderer - no one in their right mind has, no matter how hard you're trying to suggest that.

both sides are guilty of this though. when it comes to gun violence, the left is trying to politicize and exploit it while the right is burying their heads in the sand. when it comes to immigrant crime, the right is trying to politicize and exploit it, while the left is burying their heads in the sand.

tldr: the right is obsessed with their guns, the left is obsessed with their immigrants/'brown' people.

i bet that prominent GOP family walks the farm and shakes every hand of every employee and then asks for green cards. the link to the family is ironic, but let's be honest, they're about 3 social steps removed or more from this immigrant.

if u want real irony go after GOP iowa farmers begging for welfare on a yearly basis.

A white man kills a pregnant woman and literally no one is screaming for all white men to be deported back to Europe. It's pretty obvious why they care about this murder and not others.

oh really? because as i understand it, immigrants in the USA (undocumented and documented), commit FEWER violent crimes than the average american:

oh come on, you don't have to walk around, personally shake everybody's hand, and ask for their green card in order to make sure you only employ legal workers. it's their responsibility, and the fact that they lied about having him checked through the e-verify system further indicates they were aware of what's going on there.

don't get me wrong, i'm not even trying to apply the idiotic right wing 'logic' of suggesting they are therefore to blame for his crimes, of course not. but they are part of the reason that incentivises illegal immigration in the first place...
