CRT is just as racist and retarded as hitlers race theory

when lefties like you use the word "critical" it means just brainwashing and propaganda

children dont need "critical" education, they need a solid education that teaches all the basic skills adults need, no religion, no ideology

In philosophy and social science, the Critical Theory and the school of thought of the Frankfurt School are officialy considered to be marxist.
This is not even a right-wing or fox news talking point, the origins of this theory/approach are literal marxists.

Mordern Marxism replaces class with race because capitalism works too well to solve poverty. 🤷‍♂️

Dude, virtually every social theory is Marxist. Marx is a foundational figure in sociology.

The Frankfurt school of thought, from which the Critical Theory originates, is considered to be the preeminent strain of Western Marxism. As in... actual Marxism, the intellectual basis of socialism and communism, not some philosophy which has convoluted but irrelevant ties to Karl Marx.

Yes, as does any theory that includes clashing social groups, which is like, a huge portion of sociology.

Calling a sociological theory "Marxist" is like calling a physics theory "Newtonian". He's at the base of the fundamental ways we analyze the subject. There are very few places you can go that don't directly involve Marx/Newton, and even fewer that weren't massively influenced by their theories indirectly.

Any time you think about society in terms of clashing social groups inside that society, your thoughts are fundamentally rooted in the works of Marx.

Be it clashing between economic classes, races, genders, etc.

Marx was a massively important figure in how we think about the world. No matter who you are, your thoughts on how society works has been massively molded by Marx the same way Newton fundamentally defined the way we see physics. It's only because of the right's demonization of him that a connection Marx is seen as anything but normal and expected.

You're nitpicking on a technicality to distract from the fact that the Critical Theory and its masterminds seek to deconstruct and subvert our Western, capitalist societies. It is a far left school of thought with strong ties to communism and classical(!) Marxism. It is sneakily dangerous because it poisons the public discourse if left unchecked. It sorts the world along a divisive and simplistic friend-foe or oppressor-oppressed dichotomy and, in the long run, destabilizes society by encouraging self-loathing behavior and attitudes.

I'm not nitpicking shit. I'm pointing out that most of sociology is fundamentally Marxist so calling a social theory "Marxist" is largely meaningless and meant to scare gullible idiots like you.

You're approaching this conversation from a combination of shitty assumptions, being that questioning power is destabilizing and that is inherently bad, and from a place of bad faith, that critical theory fundamentally seeks to subvert capitalism.

When you see people getting red-lined and having their cities burned down because they were black and had money, and ask "Why did the military assist in firebombing this black neighborhood?" That's critical theory. If that's somehow more destabilizing than firebombing a Tulsa neighborhood, then that is good. That society should be destabilized and rebuilt because it's a shit society.

Instead of saying "Oh, we should critically analyze power structures and question them" you're parroting Fox News level talking points. So kindly eat shit until you're willing to have this conversation in good faith.

Why critically? Why not just analyze?
