His entire campaign premise at this point is "I'm neither Sanders nor Trump". The sad thing is that this might be enough to become president, depending on how badly the coronavirus goes and how much it tanks the economy.

That has been alot of the debates so far. A bunch of idiots just saying over and over "IM NOT TRUMP" "WEVE GOT TO BEAT TRUMP"

How about something of substance ya fuckers.

I really hope that in the next debate Bernie asks him some normal questions like "what month is it" and "what state are we in" and watch him go into a dementia rage while getting them wrong.

It will still make a big difference whether the federal government backs those local-level gun-grabbing efforts or not.

It will make a nominal regional difference.

but like i said before, this conversation started off with a gun nut yelling at Joe Biden and accusing him of taking guns on a federal level. dont shrink the goal posts.

We're not over the hump yet in the West, the worst is yet to come. So the repercussions for Trump are threefold: 1.: if the healthcare system gets overwhelmed, he will be blamed for a slow and lackluster response. 2.: the longer it goes, the more the state of the healthcare system will become the dominant topic of the campaign, and it's the one topic where Democrats have a consistent advantage. 3.: the longer the world has to go into lockdown, the larger the economic impact and the longer it will take for the economy to recover, potentially taking away Trump's most potent argument in his favor.

I dont think that the development is gonna be THAT bad, but it's well possible. And if such a "worse-case scenario" materializes, it would put Trump in deep trouble.

its almost like making your entire presidency about "look at the stock market, i'm a great POTUS" was a bad plan and actually needing the legislature was a thing all along.

that may be the core of Biden's campaign, but it also includes ability to navigate the legislature, something we haven't had since Cheney took a hands on approach with the legislature and bucked the conventional idea that a VP was just a ceremonial position. Ironically Joe as VP wasnt hands on enough, but as POTUS he could be. will he be? idk. but he's clearly more aligned with the senate than an outsider like Trump with a gubernatorial VP and outsider cabinet picks.

Between a socialist and a fascist isn't a bad place to be lol.

Germany has struggled with this.

if Bernie is the Americanized version of socialism, then Trump is the Americanized version of fascism. coins have two sides.

I agree with you. I think Sanders is a socialist and Trump is a fascist. Bernie is obvious, but if you go down the list of the tenets of fascism, Trump meets almost all of them.
