Kind of disingenuous to push for immigrants to pass an IQ score you can't.

I've always been open that every professional IQ test I've taken has ranged between 123 and 127. I'm moderately sharp, fully literate and pretty well educated, despite being a loser in my professional life lol.

But to address the concern in a serious manner. We don't want immigrants as good as us, we want to bring in people better than us.

Anchor babies and their parents aren't members of our society. They would be if they went through proper channels and immigrated legally. Doing it legally carries the emphasis that this person is declaring their intent to become a member of our society.

Seems ridiculous. This doesn't pass the common sense sniff test.

Thats pretty flimsy. That basically means anybody could live here under our laws for generations, go to church, have friends, work and spend money their whole life and not even their children would be "a member of society". Seems pretty ridiculous.

^^

Its absurd.

It doesn't matter if you think or feel like these people should be recognized as citizens. They are not. I'd be more willing to forgive it if it wasn't so heavily exploited, both by illegals and the media trying to bring emotions into the discussion.

You can say they shouldn't be but I'm just describing what is said in the Constitution.

People born here have always been Americans. People have always been pissed about it. Nativism has always been objecting to these many waves of immigration. This is more of history repeating itself.

And I've been explaining all thread that that isn't what is said in the Constitution. If there was birthright citizenship, there is zero reason for the added condition in the 14th amendment.

Aside from being born here and under the laws what other condition is there?

It doesn't even say you can't be a citizen of elsewhere.

Dual citizenship is a thing.

I'm doing better than like 80% of people my age but that isn't saying much though. But I also work like a slave but my idea is I don't want to be working as hard when I get older.

Although I work 45-50 hours a week which some people would laugh at that I consider that working a lot.

But I think I enjoy working a lot because it's a good way to keep myself from succumbing to my degenerate instincts of sitting on my ass and playing video games all day and eating myself to being obese.

The Democrats want birthright citizenship to win elections.

We cant have an honest discussion until they admit that.

this resonates with me so much haha. even when i get home i try to keep at least 30-45 mins of mundane tasks upkeeping the landscaping or small time house repairs.

I also have found success with REALLY detailed to-do lists. even dumb little shit. its easy to get motivated when you're knocking off 10 items a day.

Wasn't the whole point of the 14th amendment was because a previous supreme court ruling decided that slaves are not citizens? And 14th amendment created framework that gave slaves citizenship?

And children of immigrants born here just happen to fit the guidelines as well?

If you're born in the US and then you grow up in the US. What are you then? Do we really want to have the policy that morally we are going to send people to countries they weren't born in and then didn't even grow up in and in some cases don't even speak the language of the country their parents grew up in?

This is a nuanced and tricky topic. Which seems to me, compromise has to be made.
