I'm just left with a salty taste at all this "undermining the agenda" talk. I think the anon author of the Op Ed overstated their ability to do that, and it think the people angry about the anon are giving them too much credit in return to do that. It's like when people claim Peter Strzok single handedly screwed over america, there were checks and balances and supervisors with oversight in that case, and likely the same applies here. Sure someone could on a micro level toss a few monkey wrenches in the machine, but anything big and they'd be found out pretty quickly. My guess is that Trump walks around and says and demands a lot of impulsive things, and that the anon is overstating their effect on the agenda by ignoring these impulses that almost everyone in the regime ignores. These types of stories have been leaked for a long time, "Trump asks, why cant we do ______, is told by his legal team that's not allowed". I think in reality someone is trying to paint themselves as the will of the people holding back the flood water when they're just hanging out doing what most people do in that regime, let shit go in one ear and out the other.

Obama was going to easily stop dropping bombs with a republican majority in charge of congress? as if not having money was the reason they blocked everything he did(but were completely supportive of his drone program), and it was a case of either pay for bombs, or pay for shelters? is that really going to be your final answer? oh and nice job not answering the question, didn't expect you would.

Since you seem to be so concerned about the deaths of children, I'm sure you were completely livid about that 8 year old girl that happened to be a US citizen, that got shot in the neck during trump's botched yemen raid that also resulted in a dead navy seal and many other civilian deaths, right?

my hope is that eventually that nuance is the public opinion and people stop treating the POTUS as some omnipresent god among men, and instead realize they're more like a head coach sitting with a head set on just hoping the QB remembers the playbook.
