I'm predicting both of those countries will begin negotiations for a referendum in the near future, given the success of this one and the already existing discontent with the EU in those countries. Already calls for referenda in France and the Netherlands, they're only going to get louder.
sure, your selfishness might lead to the whole EU collapsing... not too likely but possible for sure.
be that as it may, the status quo was unacceptable. again, the UK is the 2nd strongest european economy right now and should really have taken a leading role alongside germany and france. instead you guys constantly chose to make it about yourselves only, demanded special deals and treatment whenever possible, tried to leverage your status as donor country whenever you could, vetoed important deals while constantly threatening to leave and made negotiations that really asked for a united leadership a pain in the ass.
the EU is (or was as of today) the biggest economy in the world and all its members profit(ed) massively from that as a negotiating position in international trade deals - and equally important by free access to this huge market.
if you really believe you're better off not paying your contributions to the EU (which were too low anyway) based on the rhetoric of some professional liars who are in it for their own personal benefit (you might wanna read up on what boris said about the EU just 2 years ago - what do you think is his next goal? here's a hint: downing street 10), sure... believe what you want. reality will kick in soon enough...
