What you call a liberal bias is what others might call a bias for reality. I'm not denying he is a liberal, but of course everyone has their own opinions, and it's not his job to pretend like he doesn't lean way or another, even if he is an employee at CBS now. His show also has more of a political lean than other late night shows since that's what he cares most about.

I think one of those reddit pictures said the same thing blowhard.

It's a sign of how politically polarized our society is nowadays, that even late night hosts have to be incredibly biased against Republicans. This isn't comedy central, it's one of the biggest networks. Of course Colbert can be a liberal hack, pretend that half the country are inbred swine, and do just fine in the ratings, but I'll continue to call him a douchebag.

As long as you extend that same favor to Republican pundits who operate at the same (or greater) levels of hackery.

It's all about the free market, baby. Supply is just keeping up with demand. Don't you guys love the free market? If Conservatives read more newspapers, then maybe there would be more Conservative newspapers. If more Conservatives watched more late night shows, then maybe there would be would be more Conservative late night show hosts. Each product has to keep up with the demand from their consumers.

But for now, you'll just have to be okay with talk radio and Fox News/Cable news. Those are the forms of media that Conservative dominate (http://www.journalism.org/2014/10/21/political-polarization-media-habits/). I think your generation is slowly changing this, and that is probably for the best. Personally I subscribe to the WSJ, that's a good Conservative newspaper if your jimmies get rustled too much elsewhere.

Stop your victim complex. There isn't some massive media conspiracy out to get you or Conservatives. Liberals and Conservatives just consume different forms of media.

I'm sure there's a Reddit pol pic with the "its the free market derp" argument too.

I watch CNN because it's a fair network with excellent political coverage. That's not the point, the point is that media in general is becoming more divided to the point that sports networks and late night television hosts are blatantly showing their liberal bias. It's bad form.

You have to be literally retarded to not acknowledge that the media as a whole has a liberal bias. It's not some grand conspiracy, it's just common sense. People in media positions are more likely to be liberal, and even though many of them try to be fair, it is reflected in the coverage at times.

How many of them own the stations?

They're signing the checks.

Nope, I guess there isn't a strawman.jpg for that one.

CNN has a pretty good political panel. I have been impressed by them at times during this presidential cycle. Their news is awful, but some of their panels are good. But if I'm going to watch any cable news, I tend to prefer Fox. I love watching Bill O'Reilly and Bret Baier. I think it's important to understand the opposite side, and I also have found myself agreeing with them about some stuff that surprises me. It's intriguing to watch.

I'll agree about ESPN shoving their agenda down people's throats. It is annoying. But I will also say people are taking notice of all the shenanigans at ESPN. They have lost millions of subscribers recently. They still are doing well on the virtue of their TV deals with the various sports leagues, and there are a lot of reasons why ESPN has lost so many subscribers recently, but I think shoving their political agenda down people's throats is at least part of it.

And see, that's my point. You perceive it to be a Liberal bias because more Liberals consume the media that you are probably thinking about. I guess I could say that Talk show radio and Rush Limbaugh has a Conservative bias, right? But that's just silly, their audiences are more Conservative. It's less of a bias and more of reaching a target audience. People's minds like to be coddled and they have trouble exposing themselves to different opinions.

If you're going to say our media is overall terrible and irresponsible and needs to do a better job, then I'd agree with you. But you seem to be frustrated that most of the media you are familiar with tends to lean Liberal. I'm just pointing out to you that media is also a business and also has to respond to the demand from its consumers.

Lol just getting started.

This election is hanging fruit for the Democrats. The only question is how many Senate and House seats is Trump going to lose?

The latest conspiracy theories is that Trump is working for the Clintons, since the Clintons are many times more wealthy and powerful and Trump loves to be the class clown, and that Trump is going to get the Democrats another Supermajority that won't be squanders like last time when the Democrats kept trying over and over to get the GOP to come to work and help craft some laws.
