I do not see the logic in your Discordian stuff : you realize your "bullshit is kinda silly", but still believe in it ?
I am "cloyingly" serious about truth, because our society is curently cloyingly full of lies, and that lies can destroy the world... Truth in other hand can unite mankind and turn this world into a peaceful place.

Edit : Here is one more quote :

lol, what a horrible load of horseshit. This is nothing more than someone who read a little bit about Campbell's monomyth and then shit their pants because they had no idea what was being said. Seriously. Just terrible.

The truth is great, but turning it into a thing of worship is ridiculous and sad, especially given the fact that when it comes down to it, there's very little (or nothing!) in the way of consistent, objective truth. It just isn't really there. Most of what we experience and believe is illusion, and nothing is going to be able to cut all the way through that. Sure, we should search for the truth to some extent, but to act like it's the only part of existence that matters is to completely ignore the beauty of many of the fictions that mankind has created. Fiction can be as useful as fact or even moreso, depending on the job that's being done. And 2 + 2 = 10.

Well, in base 10, 2+2=4 you can try to argue that with a math teacher...

Here is one quote not from the book, but it is on topic :)

Quote
Every so often someone says truth is subjective. That it can be different for different people. That if you believe it is true it is true etc. It is the worse BS. It shows how asleep people are, because they do not really believe it. In school after taking a math exam did they argue with the teacher that any answer could be true? No. Did they tell their geography teacher that Texas could be at the north pole? No because everyone knows there is one truth. The reason they keep saying it is not even though they know it is, shows clearly people are asleep, and or into self-deception.

I was quoting GLaDOS from Portal 1, obvs. Noobcakes.

And as I just showed, there are clearly perspectives from which 2+2=4, and there is most certainly no single objective 'Texas' no matter what you may want to tell yourself, so that's even more stupid. :(

This is propaganda of the worst kind. This new religion is what our politicians are pushing for and it will come about once technology is prepared for us. It's a demonic religion that is pushing the idea of new predators to balance the safe world. This is new world order combined with another agenda, the new age... It's hilarious.

This is the dumbest thing you've said since at least your last post. :(

I mean, this pseudo-religious garbage is certainly garbage, but no one follows it other than a tiny minority of idiots who aren't very good at understanding the difference between truth and bullshit. :(

Lol. Check out the website. You are talking about the little religion portion you have read. You cannot jump to conclusions by reading a little bit. What is on the website are things like global warming is coming soon, we need a global police force, currency, everything controlled by a single entity for humanitys sake. The religion part is a gimmick.

All squares are rectangles, etc.

The fact that they believe similar stupid shit to other peoples' stupid shit doesn't make it the same stupid shit.

Hi,

I'm just here to encourage you to read this book : The Present (with religion) http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-with-religion/

I can't explain it better than the autor so I'll quote the start :

"Newton and Einstein were great scientists and great mystics. Science and religion have different pieces to the puzzle. Until now, no one has united religion and science. People had to choose between tradition and truth. We need both.

What if the Bible and all other religious books are being misinterpreted?

What if the truth is in the Bible and many other religious books, but no one knows what it is? This book uses science, philosophy, religion, and art to reveal the unseen truth. It shows that most of the great prophets, philosophers, and poets are saying the same thing, but almost no one knows what it is.

Jesus is saying something completely different than what Christians think.

Religious books are not just filled with myths and morality tales as many people believe. The truth is in them; they are just being misinterpreted by religions.

The new interpretation will be the best thing that ever happened to religion.
Religions will make sense, and people will be able to understand them for the first time. This will make religions much more popular than they have ever been. Traditional religions will not change much; people will just see the truth in them.

Religion without the truth is like a light bulb without electricity. With the truth, religions will be reborn, and there will be an explosion in spiritual growth. Religions will no longer be based just on blind faith.

Just the truth: The truth about life and death can be explained without any reference to religion, and some people may prefer that, but more than half of the human race is involved in a religion. Thus, to be the ultimate explanation of the truth, it must include religion, all religions. This is the only way to unite us all.

Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind.
Albert Einstein

You do not have to be smart to know the truth, but you do have to be rational, be honest, and know a few things that could not be known until now."

Please read the whole book before you post here, you can't have an opinion if you don't read it...
I'll be happy to answer any question, but most answers are already in this book.

Edit : If you don't like religion, there is a version of this book without religion : http://www.truthcontest.com/entries/the-present-universal-truth/

I will give this a read.
