Just because we don't have all the answers doesn't mean religion can make the rest up.

...so why no thread about the 72 virgins of islam ?

Just because we don't know how we came to be doesn't make atheism the default answer.

Fixed

I was generalizing because a lot of atheists believe in the big bang hypocritically.

As far as theories go, the big bang has the most evidence currently. If another theory comes along that has more supporting evidence then we will switch to that. Science is not static.

O well then I shouldn't be arguing with you. Im here to prove atheists wrong...

But ya the universe could of came from this quantum shit but then you need a reason for quantum etc and it leads to a never ending sequence.
Unless you can show evidence of a physical law coming into existence by itself than you cant logically be an atheist.

I strongly disagree that you need a "reason" for these particular physical laws to exist, unless by reason you are willing to accept that they are logically consistent. There could very easily be other universes with other fundamental constants which do not support life. The reason we do not observe those would then be that they do not support life (i.e we are only capable of observing universes in which it is possible for us to live). Similarly, it could very easily be the case that there is exactly one set of logically consistent physical laws, in which case any universe would have to obey them. If those laws allow for spontaneous creation (which quantum mechanics appears to) then the universe could create itself without any logical inconsistencies.

But yeah, I don't not believe in God.

Thats the point of god. The only logical reason is that a supreme creator made us because he didnt need to come from anything. Every other possible explanation can not have this property.

so my mom and dad didn't make me because i don't know how the exact occurrence happened and i can't explain it. thus, god made me...

In terms of education, there is no limit to what parents can stuff into their childrens' minds.

No atheist has the right to dismiss deities without being completely ignorant because if you are going to go as far as to say that "there doesn't need to be a reason" than god didn't need a reason either. It comes down to what you think is more logical and one can never be proven over the other.

Maybe one can be proven, we don't know yet.

Then why did you say that you're trying to prove atheists wrong?

So if im reading this correctly, christians shouldn't dismiss any other possible dieties?

E: Also, if your goal is to prove atheists wrong you would need to provide evidence of a god. As we would need to provide evidence of there being no god to prove religion wrong. Seeing as you stated that neither can be proven over the other, Neither can be proven correct or wrong.
