Because like I said I have cousins going to college who are wondering the same thing I did when I was their age.

I have two sisters who are about to start "locking in tuition" for my nieces and nephew because in 10 years college might be unaffordable for them.

Imagine that.

But free college woooohoooo! No.

youre mad because some black kid was given a chance while youre sitting on 600k, think about how lucky you are before you open your mouth to complain about something from 20 years ago
what is wrong with you?? seriously

community college is a few grand a semester, less than half of that if youre poor and qualify for federal aid. not everyone gets to go to MIT and if you do, you shouldnt bitch about the price. its the best college in the USA - or at least one of them

These institutions almost always base your tuition off what your parents make.

That's why a kid can go to Harvard cheaper then other universities because most people going to Ivy League schools come from money.

edit: If your parents make less then 85k combined you can go to Harvard for free.

i know, most ivy league schools will help students whose family makes less than even 250k (which is pretty high IMO). i dont see how this is a bad thing??

I'm not mad but it definitely had an effect on me for sure.

I realized that universities cared more not about academic excellence but if their was a proper proportion of asian, black, latino, arabic, caucasian within the student body.

It was basically the most racist thing I'd seen in my life.

Admissions office: "Well we reached our quota on Caucasians so no more Caucasians unless they have a perfect ACT score, but any black or latino can get in" "We don't want to be considered a non-inclusive university"

This goes hand in hand with most corporations and unions nowadays. Forget getting the most qualified person for any particular position. Just make it "equal" even though it's anything but equal.

Don't get the best computer programmer to solve a problem give me a black guy, asian girl, and a transgender person who aren't anywhere near as smart as that Navajo Indian but "inclusitivity"

The exact thing you’re complaining about is the reason caucasians make up the predominant race in medical schools.

Asian Americans have consistently higher gpa and mcat scores and it’s been the case for a couple decades. The reality is Asians compete with Asians for medical school spots which is a harder, whites vs whites and xyz race vs xyz race. On a numbers basis, every accepted medical student would be Asian if it wasn’t for racial bias.

I’m not mad at all, it is what it is.

I'm just saying that it's perfectly normal for families with several children to invest over a million dollars in high-quality education. Successful MIT graduates typically won't settle for an annual income of $40-60,000, a common range for community college graduates. For instance, a senior engineer at my company who graduated from Stanford with approximately $250,000 in debt now earns a net income of 3.5 million krona, equivalent to $350,000, with the potential for bonuses or overtime pay up to 15%, contingent on the company's performance in a given year. He wouldn't be in this position if he graduated from community college.

he took a risk and he's getting the reward, thats perfectly fine. your anecdote is on the extreme end of the spectrum though and attending the most prestigious school in the USA comes with an inherent cost. regarding the dude I originally responded to, millionaires complaining about how much Ivy League tuition costs wont get any sympathy from me

Why is this theory still being entertained? You know everything that is written here is completely untrue.
I am unaware and don't really know enough into state constitutional law into whether what Colorado did is acceptable or not but your comment is just 100% BS.

You do realize there are photos and videos? This is insane to deny what happened that day.

Also, the election fraud case was presented to plenty of conservative leaning judges (many of whom were appointed by Trump himself) and they literally could not find any evidence to suggest election tampering. I am not sure how people are gullible enough to fall for such simply manipulation tactics (if you can even call them tactics). Trump literally said "If I win then there wasn't any fraud but if Biden wins then there was fraud." This was before any votes started to be count.

To be frank, too many people hate him at this point for him to be able to win. However, Trump has a strangle-hold on the GOP and has pushed moderate voters to the left.

Let's flip a coin. I'll go in another room and flip it, then come out and tell you what the result was.

Oops, you lost. What's that? You want to verify the coin flip's veracity? You're a conspiracy theorist. And by the way, don't try to check the video tapes from the other room, those have been destroyed.

For the folks on the short bus, this is an analogy for a political system that is too corrupt to allow ordinary citizens redress. Correctness and objective truth are meaningless. I win because I have the guns (as in media backing, judicial bias, control of law enforcement, corporate resources, blackmail, etc), you lose because you don't.
