the term "liberal" in 1700s does not equal the values of a liberal in the current year, it's deceitful language to imply this(assuming you are replacing excellence's "lefties" with "liberals").

American politics has fucked every meaning of the word liberal.

One of our more right wing parties (the current ruling party, VVD), is a great example of a liberal party. In favour of social liberty, against church rule, in favour of economic liberty.

In the late 1700s, a bunch of liberals kicked the asses of a bunch of conservative tories. Your attempt at revisionism is inept.

did i say liberal?
as others stated classical liberal means something different than lefty today. liberal in 1776 = fuck off taxes are too high.

its odd you think modern-day lefties like yourself (who, in a very extreme case of deranged lefty mentality, is a self-confessed anarchist that wants entire groups of humans to die off solely on the basis of race) = classical liberal. your attempt at revisionism is hilarious and anti-intellectual, but it’s to be expected from a bitter privileged person.

e: reported, btw

Compared with the nine other post-World War II presidents elected to their first term in office, Trump had lower support than all but one. In April through June 1978, an average of 41.8% of Americans approved of the job Jimmy Carter was doing as president.

Several other recent presidents were also, like Trump, below majority level approval at this point in their presidencies, including Ronald Reagan (44.2%), Bill Clinton (46.1%) and Barack Obama (47.3%). Those three presidents, similar to Carter but unlike Trump, were serving during challenging economic times.

Trump can't even cash in on a good economy! SAD!

scroll down a bit to the comparison of trumps approval ratings with those of past post-ww2 presidents, select "4 years" for a better visual.

you can see that trump has more or less the same approval ratings that truman, ford, carter, reagan and clinton had at this point in their term; and obama's also was only marginally better 550 days in. 4 of those 6 won reelection.

Most people see approval polls as a referendum on Trump in general not on actual policy. TDS has no cure and Trump won the 2016 general with record low approvals from the start so it might not mean much yet. It will be interesting to see how it affects the mid-terms though.

Step 1: Start a trade war that will adversely affect farmers.
Step 2: Bail them out with 12 billion dollars.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit.
