I just can't help but wonder if conceptualizing leftist ideology that way, even though you're both trolling and not trolling, diminishes the capacity to have good-faith discourse and colors the lens when digesting leftist ideals.

It would be the same as me saying right-wingers want poor people to die from preventable disease because they don't care about the poor, and that they hate the environment.

The opposite of capitalism is controlled economy. Venezuela, Cuba & the likes. You can't have controlled economies without centralization of power. Those go hand in hand.

Private property requires authority. The only non-authoritarian systems have no property. You're either an anarchist or you're some degree of authoritarian....so yes, liberal, conservative, even the libertarian-lites in the GOP that you cant tell apart from any other republican corporate boot lickers, are authoritarian, each with their own prejudices.




Opposite of free market is planned economy. Capitalism is a mixed system and a marriage of capital and political systems. A lot is planned in capitalism, often the winners and losers.

Aside from communism literally none of these differ from the current system, It is just moving the control of that authority up or down the ladders of power.
