No, I think tossing insults rather than "wrecking my argument" is harassment.

I'll be honst, the only reason I keep engaging you is because you remind me of home.

I was surrounded back home by people just as dumb as you are, and you are a constant reminder that when I destroyed their points and they called me an arrogant (similar to what you are doing now) it really was because most of the adults where I came from were/are really dumb.

oh come on... I dont even disagree with the noation that most people are dumb. but the way you talk about your rural hometown and how dumb and oh-so-ignorant they were and how you destroyed every argument of theirs really made you sound like a walking stereotype of the boy who comes from a rural background, becomes arrogant and wannabe-intellectual on college and thinks he's above everyone who isnt part of his (liberal) college filterbubble.

dont worry, most of us have been through this phase. when I was 20/21, I also thought that I intellectually belonged to the top 0.001% of mankind.

Have you ever lived in a really small rural town? The phrase brain-drain was invented for a reason. Anybody with an IQ over 95 gets out while they can.

Just for context, my science teacher refused to teach us evolution. /e nvm, not jesus camp. I'll have to find what the documentary I'm actually thinking of was, but the point is ~80% of my teachers in high school were young earth creationists.

For real though, every time I go back to my hometown and talk to people it just confirms my frustrations growing up were legitimate.

yes, I did grow up in a rather smallish town. admittedly, rural parts of europe might not be as backwards, anti-science and all around ignorant as some rural american towns (due to population density; almost no one in western europe lives more than 100km away from a larger city.)

but if you focus on the more bearable ones instead of the extra ignorant specimen, you'd realize that not every small-town inhabitant is an ignorant imbecile with a sub-95 IQ.
and by contrast, it's actually pretty easy to find tons of really dumb and delusional folks on college campuses and larger cities as well. the "IQ-sorting" isnt as extreme as it sounded in your original post, and as many people (mostly from the more liberal side of things) seem to think. the rural regions of a country dont consist of nothing but idiots, and the cities dont consist of nothing but outstanding minds.
