Guess no student loan bailout T_T

Yea, that wasn't going to happen and was entirely inappropriate. Also, that will be resolved under a Democratic president (at the very least, the loans will be interest free).

Pretty dumb line of reasoning honestly

Except I wasnt referring to your criticism of Trump's lack of deceny, I was referring to your little fantasy about how a rampant coronavirus could cleanse the world from those darn boomers.

To the more general point: A large part of the 2016 Democratic campaign was centered around the idea of moral high ground, of "we are better than you". This didnt only apply to direct comparisons between Hillary and Trump ("she's the most qualified candidate in history trying to break the glass ceiling, he's a racist uneducated incompetent uncultured bigot and conman", it also had a strong connotation of "voting for Hillary is the moral/decent/right thing to do - if you vote for Trump instead, you're a horrible human being supporting racism and sexism". Smugness and self-righteousness have been a constant part of liberalism in recent years, it's constantly been either out there in the open or bubbling right under the surface. Yes, I happily latch onto examples which prove this liberal self-image (of being the good guys, of having the moral high ground) wrong.

Your explanation hasn't done anything to make your reasoning more sound. The most generous interpretation of your post I can give is "neither side is perfect so nobody is right to criticize anything!"

Still lazy, still poor reasoning.

This is where things get not funny. He'll try to open the country back up before the experts say to because what matters most in his mind is getting re-elected, not saving lives.

Thank you America for electing a sociopathic dipshit.

That's not my reasoning, wtf?!

My reasoning can be summed as up follows:

1. Trump is indeed displaying a huge lack of deceny, his messaging on the coronavirus has been a self-absorbed disaster in the moment the country needed presidential leadership the most.
2. completely irrespective from the first point., it must be noted that your genocidal fantasies rooted in boomerphobia are horrid, and they are a counterexample to the notion that liberals are generally more decent/noble than conservatives.

And yes, I just made up the word "boomerphobia". It's here to stay.
