I'm missing the joke

all I'm asking for is that white and non-white people are held to the same standard when it comes to racism. so either have minorities crucified for racist anti-white tweets with no excuses accepted (like white folks regularly are if they post racist stuff), OR give everyone a pass for having posted stupid shit on the internet in the distant past.

just ask yourself one question: if a white dude had posted the same content directed at people of color, would the new york times itself or any other liberal media outlet accept the "I was being sarcastic in response to being harassed"-excuse? no, they would of course not. he'd get the boot so far up his ass he'd taste toenails.

same standard for everyone, plz.

I wouldn't care either way if it happened 4 years ago and they were clearly not acting on it in any way. Also against Gunn getting fired. That was dumb but I didn't dig into it much.

Anyway you can't really hold different companies to the same standard. They will naturally have different values. I mean, a readable and agreed upon standard by the masses would be nice but that's not how groups work.

well, we are in the year 2018, not 4 years in the past. and in the year 2018, you have a liberal lynch mob eagerly awaiting to kill the career of anyone who posts or says remotely racist or sexist stuff - well, except if it's one of their own and the racism/sexism is directed against whites/cis-men, in that case, it's totally fine for them.




the girl we're talking about here did not get fired, and the nytimes is actively defending her, so it doesnt look like they have any intention of firing her in the next days either.
